What holidays are paid for BJC? ›

BJC recognizes the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. If you are not working a BJC recognized holiday, you must take PTO for your regular scheduled hours that day.

Family and Medical Leave of Absence

FMLA provides for leave up to: Twelve (12) weeks for your own medical condition or to provide care for an eligible family member. Twenty-six (26) weeks of military caregiver leave to care for a covered service member with a serious injury or illness.

BJC has one main salary planning cycle annually. Salary increases are awarded in July. Who can I talk to about my compensation? Please contact your direct supervisor or manager to discuss compensation.

Most jobs are eligible for a referral bonus. The minimum referral bonus is $500. Many jobs have referral bonuses between $1,000 and $3,000.

Remaining PTO balances will be paid to employees with greater than five years of service on the bi-weekly pay date following your last regular paycheck. PTO balances are forfeited at termination for those with less than five years of service, unless the employee performs services in a state that requires it.

Excused absences include reasons like illness or health condition, family emergency, and absences due to safety concerns.

Examples of Excused Absences:

Religious instruction: Not to exceed three hours in one week. Driver's license test. Serious family emergency i.e. funeral. Special requests from parents: Pre-arranged with assistant principal.
