How To Find The Bloodfiend's Arm
How To Use The Bloodfiend's Arm
Of the many new weapons available in Elden Ring, the Bloodfiend’s Arm is one that players may want to find early. It is a Colossal Weapon, capable of dealing a lot of damage in one swing. This is the weapon for players who want to drop enemies in one fell blow, potentially doing thousands of points of damage.
Like the Anvil Hammer in Elden Ring, the Bloodfiend’s Arm is a huge Colossal Weapon to join the ranks of other new weapons from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. There is a huge assortment of new content, including new Talismans, more NPCs, bigger bosses, and more loot items to customize your character to its limits.

How To Find The Bloodfiend's Arm
Bloodfiend Arm's Location
This weapon is not unique and can be found in several different places on the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC map in Elden Ring. It can be dropped from any Bloodfiend enemy wielding the Arm as a weapon. One of the better places to find it is in Prospect Town, which is due south of the Cliffroad Terminus Site of Grace. There are plenty of enemies here to take down and hope one of them drops it, which they should, but there is a guaranteed place to find it.
One can also be looted from the ground near the Taylew's Ruined Forge Site of Grace. Within the cliff is a cave near which many Bloodfiend enemies are fighting. You will see a giant version of one near the cave where the Bloodfiend's Arm can be found. You technically could run through this area without fighting, and as the enemies are already fighting each other, that might be easier.

All Stats & Level Scaling
There are a lot of benefits to using this weapon over others in Elden Ring. It is unique from the other typical weapons in that it scales with Arcane better than any other stat, making this perfect for players who use it as a primary or secondary stat.
That being said, you will need at least 28 in Strength to wield this weapon. You will also need an Arcane stat of 16 and a Dexterity stat of 11. The weapon scales with each of them, as can be seen in the table below:
Scaling | ||
---|---|---|
Attribute | Level 1 | Level 10 |
Strength | D | C |
Dexterity | E | E |
Arcane | D | C |
Scaling with Arcane can affect several upgrade paths, as it can be taken all the way up to an S-tier scaling rank if upgraded to Occult +25. This can make it quite capable of dealing massive amounts of spell damage. You can see the standard baseline stats in the table below:
Bloodfiend's Arm Level 1 Stats | ||
---|---|---|
Stats | Attack | Guard |
PHY | 147 | 76 |
Mag | 46 | |
Fire | 46 | |
Light | 46 | |
Holy | 46 | |
Crit/Boost | 100 | 51 |
Even without any other stats, this can cause much physical damage. From there, there are many different upgrade paths you can take and use to optimize your Bloodfiend's Arm for what you most want.
For instance, with an Occult +25, you can do a base damage of 319 Physical Damage and 204 Stamina Damage, a hidden source of damage, according to the Elden Ring Wiki from FextraLife. However, if you follow the standard upgrades, you will get the following stats at +25.
Bloodfiend's Arm Level 25 Stats | ||
---|---|---|
Stats | Attack | Guard |
PHY | 360 | 76 |
Mag | 46 | |
Fire | 46 | |
Light | 46 | |
Holy | 46 | |
Crit/Boost | 100 | 61.2 |
STR (Stamina)/RST | 204 | 25 |
With those stats, you will be doing an impressive amount of damage no matter what path you take. Unlike a lot of the other new weapons in the Shadow of the Erdtree, the Bloodfiend's Arm can have new Ashes of War equipped, although it will start with the Endure skill equipped. This skill allows you to boost your poise and reduce damage from incoming attacks.
To get the build from PWARGaming's video, you should use the following:
- Have a 55 in Arcane
- Use the Prophet Class, but there are alternatives
- Equip the Shriek of Sorrow Ash of War
- Use the Blood affinity on the Bloodfiend's Arm
- White Mask , Gravebird's Blackquill Armor , Crucible Gauntlets , and Fire Prelate Greaves
This build will not quite have the 28 needed in Strength, requiring you to either 2-hand the weapon or use a Talisman or piece of equipment that gives you bonus strength or allows you to wield a 2-handed weapon with greater ease.
The suggested Talismans in Elden Ring for this build include the Two-Handed Sword Talisman, Dagger Talisman, or the Crusade Insignia . Additionally, you will want to equip your flask with the Stonebarb Cracked Tear in order to capitalize on breaking stances. The Shriek of Sorrow Ash of War allows you to give the weapon the Occult affinity without taking away the Bleed potential, and it gives your attacks a power boost.
PWARGaming's character stats are as follows for using this as a Bonk weapon with lots of bleed potential at level 150:
Attribute | Stat |
---|---|
Vigor | 59 |
Mind | 15 |
Endurance | 32 |
Strength | 23 |
Dexterity | 13 |
Intelligence | 7 |
Faith | 25 |
Arcane | 55 |
The goal for his build is to emphasize the Bleed upgrade path while using the massive strength of this weapon to break stances and do a lot of damage at once.
The main drawback of this weapon is that it is quite slow, especially if your Strength stat is not as high, and players may find themselves struggling with particularly fast enemies. However, it can still do its job nonetheless if you take precautions. And that is all you need to know about finding and using the Bloodfiend's Arm in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in Elden Ring.
